ISC Independent Substrate Consulting is a young company, founded in 2005 by Fer Weerheijm.

We have more than 15 years of experience in the purchase and exploitation of all kinds of raw materials, used in potting soils and substrates. (Fer Weerheijm was consultant, purchaser and manager for BVB, TrefEGO and Unitorv).

Our aim is to provide our customers with information and advice in a pragmatic way (we try to combine practice with theory) so that better results can be achieved.

We know the products thoroughly and, therefore, we are able to serve our customers with independent and objective advise in the choice of their substrate or with the improvement of their substrate. We have the expertise to serve the growers with advise about the composition of the potting soil as chemical analyses for which we work together with Blgg, Naaldwijk.

We also assist companies with the starting up or improvement of projects, using our years of experience in the production of potting soil and product-development for several leading companies in Holland.
